John Martin Potter was the superintendent of schools in Warsaw County, KY near Louisville, KY. Elected Superintendent of the Trimble County KY schools where he began his duties July 1, 1949. Graduated from Eastern State College in Kentucky and did a year of graduate work in the institution. John came to our Father's (Creed Flannery Potter) funeral. John had several degrees and also was a professor. Served 4 years in WWII in the US Army in the European theater of operations. Taught school at Haymond and Jenkins Kentucky schools. Was Principle of Trimble County High School.

Julia Ann Pugh Potter, 85, Pendleton, died November 20, 2007 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness. She was born August 17, 1922 in Kentucky, and resided in Pendleton, Indiana. She taught elementary school at Kendall Elementary in Marion and retired in 1980. Julia resided in Marion for 40 years and moved to Pendleton in July 2007. In 1960 Julia received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Indiana University. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Roehm of Akron, Ohio and son Neil M. wife Alberta Potter of Pendleton, Indiana. Sisters: June Holbrook and Rosemary Pugh both of Louisville, Kentucky. Grandchildren: Glenn Roehm of Syracuse, New York, Laurie Steding Todd of Syracuse, New York, and Jennifer Scott Smitherman of Indianapolis, Indiana. Great grandchildren: Heather Roehm, Daniel Steding, Samantha Roehm and Ashley Smitherman. She was preceded by her husband John M. Potter whom she married November 8, 1941 and her parents Matilda Rowe and Glenn W. Pugh. Services will be Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Anderson, Indiana, with Rev. Jack Duckworth officiating. A committal ceremony will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery Chapel in Marion, Indiana at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 24, 2007. Visitation will be from 11:00 - 1:00 on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Anderson, Indiana. www.LooseFuneralHomes.com
