1. Goldie Potter; m. 16 Oct 1937 to Will Johnson; s/o Robert Johnson and Sarah Burke (I don't know if this is a daughter of King Solomon Potter and Matilda Hall. She is not mentioned in either of their obituaries or her possible sister, Angeline's obituary. However, I am leaving it here until I get further information).

Obituary: Angeline Potter Potter
1886 - 4 Feb 1946

Obituary, Angeline Potter Potter Mountain Eagle, Whitesburg, Letcher Co KY, 1946; Mrs. Melvin Potter. Mrs. Angeline Potter of Burdine, KY., passed from this life on Monday, Feb. 4, 1946 at the Fleming Hospital. Her illness and sudden death was a terrible shock to her husband and relatives. One week earlier on Monday, Jan. 28th (1946) her mother, Mrs. Matilda Potter was buried. At that time although stricken with grief, she was apparently well and in very good health. At the time of her passing she was 68 years of age. She is survived by her bereaved husband, Melvin Potter, one sister, Mrs. Jane Rogers, and one brother, Henry Potter both of Jackhorn, Ky., many relatives and friends. She was a fine wife, sister and friend, and will be sadly missed. Funeral services were held at the Bethel Church, Camden, East Jenkins, Ky. on Feb. 6,. 12:00 P. M., with Rev. Baker and others, officiating. Burial in the Potter Cemetery, East Jenkins, Ky. Craft Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.

Obituary, King Solomon Potter - Mountain Eagle, Whitesburg, Letcher Co KY, Thursday Evening, July 29, 1943; Uncle Sol Potter dies at Hemphill. Uncle K. S. Potter who was about 80 years old, died at his home at Hemphill, Friday, July 23, at 8:00 P.M. (1943). Surviving are his wife, Matilda Potter, two daughters: Angeline Bates and Jane Rogers and one son: Henry Potter Jr. all of Jackhorn., Two brothers: W. H. Potter and J. Mart Potter and one sister, Rebecca Addington; three grand children, Mary Belle Quillen, Tilda Yonts and Jessie Bates, also two great grandchildren, Jacqueline Quillen and Marie Yonts. Mr Potter was a life long resident of Letcher county and had hundreds of friends and relatives who are deeply grieved at his passing. Funeral services were held at the school house at Jackhorn, KY., Sunday July 25th (1943) with Rebs. G. B. Adams, Newt Meade, Shade Sexton and Bud Sexton officiating. Burial took place in the family cemetery at Jackhorn. Johnson Funeral Home in charge.


Obituary: Matilda Hall Potter

Obituary of Matilda Hall Potter: Mt Eagle, 1946: On Sunday, Jan. 27, 1946, the Death Angel came into the home of Mrs. Matilda Potter, Jackhorn, Ky., and took her from the midst of her family and friends, to a happier home in the Great Beyond. She had been in poor health for some time, but not critically ill until a few days before her passing. She was 84 years of age. Her husband, Sol Potter preceded her in death nearly three years ago". She is survived by three children, Mrs. Jane Rogers, Henry Potter of Jackhorn, Ky.; and Mrs. Angeline Potter of Burdine, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. Didamena Potter of Kona, Ky., Mrs. Fannie Bentley of Ky and two brothers, William and, Johnny Hall of Ermine, Ky., and many relatives and friends. She was a member of the Regular Baptist Church and lived a devoted Christian life. She was a wonderful mother and a fine woman and will be sadly missed. Funeral services were held at the Jackhorn school building, Jackhorn, Ky., on Monday, Jan. 28, 1946 at 2:00 P. M., with Elders Tommy Collier, Noah Bentley and others, officiating. Burial in the Potter Cemetery, Jackhorn, Ky., Craft Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
