ST. PAUL, VA. Bertha Litton Trent , 85, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at her home on Bull Hill in St. Paul. She was born in Coeburn, daughter of the late Elwood and Susan Blevins Litton. She was preceded in death by her husband Rupert Hershel Trent, one son, Harold H. Trent, one grandaughter; two brothers Joe Litton and William Litton and one sister; Betty Hamilton. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Salyers and husbnd Bill of Castlewood, Va. and Frances Blevins and husband Glen of Warren, Mich; two sons, Larry R. Trent and wife Louise of St. Paul and Vernon Douglas Trent and wife Beulah of Castlewood. four sisters, Thelma Garrett, Doris Pickett, all of Coeburn and Ann Baker of Wise; two brothers Shular Litton of Coeburn and Harry Litton of Mobile, Ala. nine grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren; one great -grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Bertha Litton Trent will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Stallard/ Trent Cemetery Bull Hill, with the Rev. Harold Shortridge and Rev. Doug Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Stallard / Trent Cemetery

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Faye Trent, one son, Kevin Trent, Castlewood; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ruphert Trent. St. Paul; two brothers, Douglas Trent and Larry Trent, both of St. Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Billy (Fredia Sue) Salyers St. Paul and Mrs. Alfred (Mary Frances) Blevin, Warren, Mich. Services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in St. Paul with the Rev. Jack Carnley officiating. Burial followed in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Va.
