September 5, 2010 - Myrtle Bentley, 89, of Neon passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Myrtle was the daughter of the late Marion and Ellen Wright Meade. She was the widow of Clyde Bentley. Surviving are a stepdaughter: Ann Collins of Wise, Virginia; 3 brothers: Paul Meade of Jackhorn, Silas Meade of Neon and Winston Meade of Neon; 1 sister: Rosa Tackett of Deane; 1 stepgrandchild: Rosetta Carol Nickel of Coeburn, Virginia; 1 special nephew: Derek Meade. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Alfred Fields officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
