Nellie Wright Bentley
Nellie Marie Bentley, age 93, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at her home in St. Louis. She was born on April 21, 1925 to her parents the late Teddy Wright and Norma Mullins Wright. She was the wife of Ira F. Bentley, a homemaker, and she attended the Church of God of Prophecy at Jenkins.

Along with her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella Opal Wright and Bessie Davis, four brothers, Willie Ray Wright, Bennie Wright, Daniel Wright and Chester Wright, and one son, Anthony “Tony” Bentley.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ira Bentley, five children, Roger (Tani Shae) Bentley, David (Gayla) Bentley, Sherman Bentley, Michelle Arthur and Lisa (Cameron) Cook, all of St. Louis, MO, one sister, Lula Belle (James) Polly of Whitesburg, KY and Thurman (Jody) Sharonsville, OH. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 at 10a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jeff Slone officiating. Entombment will follow in the Wright Cemetery at Beefhide (Kentucky).
