Services are held for Darrell Wright
Funeral services for Darrell Paul Wright, 58, of Neon, were held May 16, (2008) at the Seco Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in the McRoberts Cemetery.
Born at McRoberts, he was a son of the late Orville and Mae Holland Wright. He died May 12, (2008) at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Wright was a radio technician for the state of Kentucky. He was a former Fleming-Neon City Council member. He had also been a member of the Fleming- Neon Area Jaycees and the Neon Days Committee, and was an honorary member of the Neon Volunteer Fire Department. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Michelle Wojciechowski Wright; a daughter, Allison Angela Fleming, Whitesburg; two sons, Michael Ritchie and wife Tara, Jenkins, and Cameron P. Wright, Neon; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Rylee, and Kainan; four sisters, Nelda Taylor and Karen Phillips, both of Neon; Martha Bentley, McRoberts; and Amy Wright, Whitesburg; seven brothers, Wendell Wright, Huntington, Ind.; Gary Wright, Valrico, Fla.; Norman Wright, Harrison, Tenn.; Jeff Wright, Lexington; Tim Wright, Whitaker; David Wright, Jenkins; and Matthew Wright, Whitesburg; and a friend, Zack Elkins.
Carty Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Wendell Lee Wright, 73, of Berea, passed away Friday January 16, 2015 in Fayette County.
A native of Letcher County, he was the son of the late Orville and Mae Holland Wright. Wendell was a retired electronics engineer. Survivors include 6 brothers, Gary, Norman, Jeffrey, Timothy, David and Matthew Wright and 4 sisters, Nelda Taylor, Martha Bentley, Karen Phillips and Amy Wright. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Wright and a sister, Deborah Wright.
