was a retired teacher for the Letcher county board of education. She worked
for them for 28 years, a coach, as coach she won three county championships in
basketball and three championships in volleyball. She returned to substitute
teaching until her illness in 2008. Sally was a gifted artist and a mentor to
all those lives she touched. She will be greatly missed by all. Parents:

Austin Bentley, Justin Bentley, Lance Bentley, Jacob Kincaid & Casey Kincaid;
one granddaughter: Hayley Kincaid; a host of nieces, nephews & many loved
ones. Deceased relatives: parents; one brother: Larry Collins; one sister:

p.m. at the Fleming Church of God in Fleming Neon, Kentucky. Officiating:

OBITUARY OF WALKER LEE "BLOSS" BENTLEY
Walker Lee "Bloss" Bentley, son of Rhoda (Johnson) Bentley and Walter Bentley, was born at Etty, Kentucky on January 13, 1949. He passed from this
life at his home in Jackhorn, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 7, 1998, making his stay here on earth 48 years. 11 months and 25 days. Bloss had worked in the coal mines for many years but retired in 1991 after an injury suffered in the mines.
Bloss married Lana Gail Fleming on January 27, 1985 at Jackhorn, Kentucky. He was proceded in death by his father, Walter Bentley; his mother,
Rhoda Bentley; and one brother, Edd Bentley. Walker "Bloss" Bentley leaves many loved ones behind to mourn his passing. He is survived by his wife Lona Gail of Jackhorn and one step-son,
Michael Gullett also of Jackhorn. He leaves three brothers: Denzil Bentley, Lester Bentley, and Denver Bentley, all of Jackhorn and one sister,
Diana Sue McFall of Cottondale, Alabama. He leaves behind many neices and
nephews, a large number of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
OBITUARY OF RHODA (JOHNSON) BENTLEY
Rhoda Bentley, daughter of the late Andy and Clarissa Johnson, was born at Hartley, Kentucky on May 10, 1925. She passed from this earthly home on
August 27, 1990 after a long, losing battle with cancer, making her stay here on earth 65 years, 3 months, and 17 days.
Rhoda married Walter Bentley on November 23, 1944 at Pikeville, Kentucky. Walter preceded her in death on May 1, 1988. To this union was born five
boys and one daughter.
Rhoda was a member of the Hemphill Church of Christ. Rhoda took time in this busy world to provide a home for many foster children. She had the
art of taking time for others and the art of giving from the heart. Preceding Rhoda in death was an infant son, Edd; four sisters: Cassie Hall, Sarah Bentley, Rosa Bell Burke, and Jane Johnson; three brothers:
Willard Johnson, Ben Johnson, and Willie Johnson.
To know Rhoda was to love her and she leaves many loved ones behind to moum her passing. She is survived by sons: Denzil, Denver, Walker, and Lester,
all of Jackhorn, Kentucky; daughter: Sue McFall also of Jackhorn, Kentucky; brother: George Johnson of Spade, Kentucky; sister: Della Stewart of Spade,
Kentucky.
Also surviving are nine granddaughters; three grandsons; and one great-grandson; and a large number of other relatives and friends to mourn her
passing. Rhoda Bentley was a jewel here on earth; now she is a jewel in heaven. She was a modest as the rose you scent in every spray. But you never miss the
rose until its beauty fades away.
