Shirleen Boggs, 73 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday May 29, 2015 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.
She was born on August 13, 1941 to Tillus and Geneva Shepherd Boggs in Charlestown. She retired from Dupont Co. of Louisville, KY after 44 years of employment. She was a member of the Bethany Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star # 597 and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Marvin Boggs. She is survived by her brother; Ben M. Boggs, Sr., of Daytona Beach, FL., nephew; Ben Boggs, Jr., of Vine Grove, KY and niece; Myra Twyman of Shelbyville, KY.
No services are scheduled as cremation was chosen.

BOGGS, GENEVA SHEPHERD, 87, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, at her home. She was born on February 27, 1922 in Whitesburg, KY the daughter of Dewey and Dora Frazier Shepherd. She was a retired employee of ICI America and Baptist and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Chapter 327 in Jeffersonville, IN. She is survived by her son, Ben Boggs of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Shirleen Boggs of Charlestown; brother, Eugene Shepherd of Partridge, KY; sisters, Juanita Bledsoe of Jeffersonville, IN, Ann Kersey of Louisville, KY, and Gertrude Shepherd of Charlestown; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Charlestown Cemetery. Eastern Star services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at Grayson Funeral Home. Published in The Courier-Journal on May 5, 2009
