Paul Burke, 70 of Jenkins, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Paul was the son of the late Jack Burke and Mary Bentley Fleming. Surviving is his wife: Donna Hunsaker Burke; 3 sons: John (Jamie) Burke of Jenkins, Shannon Collins of Thornton, James Paul (Mary) Burke of Isom; 2 daughters: Michelle (Sid) Burke of Jenkins, Donna Jean (Andrew) Burke of Jenkins, and Jean of Neon; 2 brothers: John Fleming of Mayking and Henry Fleming of McRoberts; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his stepfather: Gabe Fleming; 3 brothers: Raymond Burke, George Burke, and Jimmy Burke; 1 sister: Betty Jean Burke. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Dunham Freewill Baptist Church with Bill Craft, Morgan Bates, and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Dunham Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Collins Spurgeon Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky.

George Jerry Burke, age 63, of Kona, Kentucky passed from this life on March 21, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Neon, Kentucky. He was born on March 23, 1953 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Jack Burke and Mary Lou Bentley Burke. He was a mechanic, coal miner and carpenter, who enjoyed remodeling homes. He wanted to stay busy, working with his hands. He loved spending time with his grandbabies, family and friends. George had a nickname for everyone. Mr. Burke was preceded in death also by his first wife, Madonna Burke; two brothers: Raymond Burke and Jimmy Burke; one sister: Betty Burke. He is survived by his ex-wife, Petrissia Ann Regalado, of Gallatin, Tennesse; for whom he cared deeply; five daughters: Betty (Jeff) Carter of Gallatin, Tennessee; Mary (Sergio) Regalado-Nunez of Gallatin, Tennessee; Georgena (Shannon) Branham of McRoberts, Kentucky; Julia (Cacien ‘C’) Burke Phoenix of Neon, Kentucky and Nancy Beltran of Bethpage, Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren and several other extended family members, who George helped to raise throughout his life and considered them to be his own children and grandchildren ; he also is survived by three brothers: Paul Burke of Jenkins, Kentucky; John Fleming of Mayking, Kentucky and Henry Fleming of McRoberts, Kentucky; along with a host of other family and many friends to mourn his passing. Visitation for Mr. Burke will be held on Thursday-March 23, 2017 at the Carty Funeral Chapel of Neon from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral Services for Mr. Burke will be conducted at the chapel on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with Minister, Bobby Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in the McRoberts Cemetery at McRoberts, Kentucky.

Gabe Fleming, son of the late Elizha and Alifaire Johnson Fleming, was born in Pike County, Kentucky on May 13, 1934. He passed from this life suddenly and unexpectedly at the Jenkins Community Hospital on Wednesday, February 24, 1993 making his stay here on earth 58 years, 9 months and 11 days. Gabe married Mary Lou Bentley at Clintwood, Virginia in the early 1960’s. Gabe was preceded in death by 12 other brothers and sisters. He was a carpenter until his health forced him to quit. Gabe is survived by his wife Mary of McRoberts; sons: Ernest Wayne Fleming of Pound, VA; John Edward Fleming of Jenkins, KY; Gabe Henry Fleming of McRoberts; brother, Edward Fleming of Thornton, KY. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, 3 step-sons, 14 step-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
