Obituary of James Edward Mullins: James Edward Mullins, 67 of Winchester formerly of Beefhide went to be with his Lord Monday, May 16, 2016 at his residence in Winchester. He was born December 11, 1948 at Beefhide to Nobie Mullins of Beefhide and the late Aster Mullins. James was a member of the Lexington United Baptist Church, a retired coal miner and a veteran of the United States Army. Other than his mother he is survived by his wife; Reda F. Mullins, one son and daughter in law; James Eric and Amanda Mullins of Winchester, one brother; Donald Mullins of Lincoln, CA, two sisters; Betty Mullins of Robinson Creek and Wanda Anderson of Xenia, OH. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home with Clyde Bentley and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Bentley Family Cemetery at Dorton. Visitation will be at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday with a service beginning at 7:00 PM

Nobie Snow Mullins, 89 years of age of Beefhide passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 2, 1927 in Pike County to the late John Calvin Looney and Frona Elizabeth Mullins Looney. Nobie was a homemaker and a member of the Dorton Freewill Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Aster Mullins, one son; James Mullins, three brothers; Bill Looney, Carl Looney, Johnny Don Looney, one sister; Millie Jean Wright. Nobie is survived by one son; Donald (Sharon) Mullins of Lincoln, CA., two daughters; Betty (Terry) Mullins of Robinson Creek, Wanda (Andy) Anderson of Xenia, OH., two sisters; Dean Mullins of Wyandotte, MI., Betty Gazzarari of Rochester Hills, MI., daughter in law; Reda Mullins of Winchester, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home with Clyde Bentley and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park at Pikeville. Visitation will be at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday with a service beginning at 7:00 PM, online condolences may be expressed at hallandjones.com
