Obituary of Francis Marion Mullin

Obituary of Francis Marion Mullins: Funeral services for Francis Marion Mullins, 92 of Beefhide, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs Calvin Looney, with whom he resided when he died late Tuesday afternoon. Officiating will be the Reverends Ellis Moore, Noah May, Charles Roberts and Crocket Baker. Burial will take place in the family cemetery near his home. Mr. Mullins was a retired farmer, carpenter and a Regular Baptist Minister. He had lived in the county all his life. He was the son on Solomon Mullins and Nancy Matilda Wilcox Mullins. His father was a Yankee soldier during the Civil War and was captured when Mr. Mullins was only three years old, a fact he often recalled either by his own remembrance or what his family had told him. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Florida Mercer of Ohio, Mrs. Tom Stiltner, Pikeville and Mrs. Looney of Myra. He also leaves 31 grandchildren."
