KY Obituary: LESLIE McFALL,
Sr., son of Mary Reynolds and Tilden McFall, was born in Letcher County,
Kentucky, August 11, 1915. Passed from this life at the Jenkins Clinic at
Jenkins, Kentucky on February 7, 1981, making his stay here on earth 65 years; 5

McFall, daughter of the late Ben and Minnie (Adams) Hammonds was born at
Wolf Pin in Knott County, Kentucky on August 31, 1918. She passed from this life
at the home of her daughter, Marlene Sexton of Goose Creek, Kentucky on March 9,
1995, making her stay here on earth 76 years, 6 months and 9 days. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and
a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Leslie has been sick for the last several
years, but his passing was sudden and unexpected. Leslie was married to Lona
Hammonds at Hemphill, Kentucky, March 16, 1940.
Leslie is survived by
his wife, Lona of Goose Creek; daughters: Shelba Paxton and Marlene Sexton of
Neon; Ruth Orman of Dearborne Heights, Michigan; Lola Taylor also of Dearborne;
Linda Bearss of Taylor, Michigan; sons: Leslie McFall, Jr. of Fleming, Kentucky;
Michiel McFall of Goose Creek; Jerry
McFall of Jackhorn.
Also
surviving are brother, Chester McFall of Longfork; half brother, Frank Wright of
Goose Creek; half sister, Mary Halcomb of Ashland, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren, 1
great grandchild and a number of other relatives and friends to mourn his
passing.
Funeral Services Leslie McFall, Sr. were held at the Chapel of
the Banks Funeral, Fleming-Neon, Kentucky on Tuesday, February 10, 1981 at 1:30
P.M. Pallbearers: Relatives and Friends. Minister: Bro. Bill Browning. Burial
followed in the Reynolds Cemetery, Seco, Kentucky. Banks Funeral Home of
Fleming-Neon, Kentucky, in charge of funeral arrangements.
She
married Leslie McFall at Hemphill, Kentucky on March 16, 1940. He preceded her
in death on February 7, 1981. Lona became a member of the McRoberts Church of
Christ during her illness. Even though she was so very ill she touched many
hearts by her faith, hope and testimony in Christ.
She is survived by 3
sons: Leslie McFall, Jr., Frank McFall and Jerry McFall all of Neon, Kentucky. 5
daughters: Shelby Paxton and Marlene Sexton both of Neon, Kentucky; Linda Bearss
of Dearborn Heights, Michigan; Lola Taylor of Cynthiana, Kentucky and Emogean
Orman of Allen Park, Michigan; two sisters: Jane Bentley of Mallie, Kentucky and
Eva Hammonds of Indianapolis, Indiana; 1 brother: Leonard Hammonds of Decatur,
Illinois.
Funeral Services
For Lona (Hammonds) McFall was conducted from the Chapel of Banks Funeral Home,
Fleming-Neon, Kentucky on Sunday, March 12, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers:
Grandsons. Minister: James Chris Fleming. Burial followed in the Reynolds
Cemetery, Seco, Kentucky. Banks Funeral Home of Fleming-Neon, Kentucky in charge
of funeral arrangements
