OBITUARY OF ISAAC POTTER

ISSAC POTTER, son of Arminda Baker and Ruben Potter was born at Jackhorn, Ky., April 6, 1889, passed from this life at his residence at Jackhorn, November 6, 1968 being 81 years 7 months of age at his passing. Ike has been in poor health for the past 4 years, bedfast since June of this year. His wife Annie preceded him in death only 9 days ago. He is a member of the Hemphill Church of Christ, having been since the fall of 1962. He is survived by the following children: Alice Balterman, Martha Powers, Jack and Robert Potter all of Lexington, Ky.; Bessie Day of Neon, Ky.; Betty Lois and Samuel of New Lexington, Ohio; Ruben and Charles of Jackhorn, Ky. and Estill at home, 32 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brothers: Morgan of Jackhorn, Sherman of Oak Hill, Ohio, sister Rhoda Johnson of Neon, and a large number of relatives and friends. Two sons, Conley and Lonnie, sisters, Emma Jean and Angeline, brothers, Sam;, Ervin, Clovin, Boonie and Clabe all preceded him in death.

Funeral Services for ISSAC POTTER was held at the Residence Saturday, November 11, 1968 at 11 :00 A.M., E.S.T. Pallbearers: Grandsons, Nephews and Neighbors. Ministers: Bro. Marvin Meade, Gad Johnson, Morgan Johnson and Bennie Blankenship. Burial followed in the Family Plot of the Potter Cemetery, Jackhorn, Ky. Banks & Craft Funeral Home of Neon, Ky. in charge of funeral arrangements.


OBITUARY OF ANNIE (LITTLE) POTTER

Annie Potter, daughter of Betty Johnson and John Little, was born in Floyd County, KY., February 9, 1899, passed from this life at the residence at Jackhorn on Oct. 27, 1968, being 69 years 8 months and 18 days of age at her passing. She has been sick for the past 5 years, restricted to her bed, and she had been in a wheelchair for the past 38 years. She was married to Ike Potter who survives her along with the following children: daughters, Bessie Day of Neon, Ky., and Betty Lois Potter of New Lexington, Ohio; sons, Estill Potter and Charles Lee Potter, both at home, Samuel Potter of New Lexington, Ohio, and Ruben Potter of Jackhorn; 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one brother, William Little of Louisa, Ky. One stepson, Conley Potter, and brother Ballard Little preceded her in death. She was a member of the Hemphill Church of Christ and was baptized in the spring of 1948. Our loss is heaven's gain.

Funeral Services for ANNIE POTTER was held at the Residence Pottertown, Ky. on Tuesday, October 29, 1968 at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers: Grandsons and Nephews. Ministers: Bro. Marvin Meade, Gad Johnson, Bennie Blankenship and Denver Taylor. Burial in Potter Cemetery Jackhorn, Ky. Banks & Craft Funeral Home of Neon, Ky. in charge of funeral arrangements.
