Obituary: Bennie Sexton

The obituary of Bennie Sexton as published in the November 29, 1962, issue of The Mountain Eagle: Sexton funeral held. Funeral services for Bennie Sexton, 75, Thornton, were conducted November 24 at the residence of Worley Sexton, Thornton, by the Revs. Charlie Gibson and Bob Sexton. Burial was in the Greasey Amburgey cemetery, Carr Creek. Mr. Sexton was a son of Will and Obbitine Sexton and was married to the late Julia Gibson. Survivors include eight children, Henry Sexton, Easter Baker, Worley Sexton, Lida Sexton, Bennie Jr., all of Thornton; Corsie Bates, Jackhorn; Thomas Sexton, Whitesburg and Millard Sexton, Whitesburg; one sister Polly Thomas, Whitco.
