Service, Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church: Friday April 15, 2016 10:00 AM. Beulah L. Fouts - May 26, 1923 - April 12, 2016. Beulah L. Fouts, 92, of North Vernon, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in the Schneck Medical Center of Seymour, Indiana. She was born May 26, 1923, in Burdine, Letcher County, Kentucky, the daughter of Oliver and Mattie (Phipps) Tucker. On September 4, 1938, she married Brewie Fouts, and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1997. Beulah is survived by her sons, Perry Fouts and wife, Frances, of Greenwood, Gordon Fouts and wife, Karen of Westport, Anthony Fouts and wife, Bernita of Hutchins, Texas, Claude Fouts and wife, Cathy, of North Vernon, and Rick Fouts and wife, Teresa, of Salem, Illinois; a sister, Beatrice Perry of Blairville, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, Terri and Chuck, Tim and Colleen, Nancy, Teresa, Anne, Sally, Barbara, Gordon, Tony and Dawana, Christina, Amber and Benjamin; one adopted granddaughter, Alex; 32 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Fouts Thomerson; brothers, Virgil Tucker and Hobert Tucker; sisters, Allene Mullins and Rudell Short; granddaughter, Nancy Jo Freeman; and great-grandson, Nathan Fouts. Beulah became a member of Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church in 1989. She was a homemaker, and spent most of her life taking care of her children and being a pastor’s wife. Beulah formerly worked as a dietician at the Marion County Home, for three years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, reading and working word search puzzles. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church, 505 W. Penn St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Reverends Fouts officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hayden Cemetery in North Vernon. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church Building Fund or Trinity Full Gospel Church of North Vernon, in care of the funeral home.
