Obituary: Frankie Little Potter
16 Feb 1930 - 25 Sept 2014

Frankie Potter, age 84, of Groveport, Ohio, passed away on Thursday September 25, 2014 at Mount Caramel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born on February 16, 1930 at Jackhorn, Kentucky, and was raised and lived in Letcher County, Kentucky, until 1968, when she moved to New Lexington, Ohio. Ms. Potter was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ for over sixty-nine years. She was a daughter of the late Hayes and Cynthia Johnson Little.

Ms. Potter was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dana Lynn Johnson; a son-in-law, Glenn Alton Johnson; six sisters, Goma Bostain, Madge Bentley, Sophie Huston, Cleda Hall, Fern Ritchie and Lizzie Slone; and three brothers, Bobby Little, Tommy Little and Johnny Little.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Potter, of Groveport, Ohio; there daughters, Sharon Johnson, of Long Fork, Kentucky, Linda Euman, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Gaye Pape, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one brother, Terry Little, of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 28, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 29, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Carty Funeral Homes Neon Chapel, with Mark Pape officiating. Interment will follow at Rueben Potter Cemetery, Jackhorn, Letcher Co KY.


Obituary: Samuel Harrison Potter

Samuel Potter ,age 87, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed from this life on December 3, 2016 at the Mount Carmel East Hospital, of Columbus, Ohio. He was born on February 1, 1929 in Potter Town, Kentucky to the late Isaac Potter and Anna Little Potter.

He was a member of the Church of Christ for approximately sixty-five years. He worked as a coal miner for fourty-four years. Mr. Potter married his late wife, Frankie Little Potter, on May 20, 1950. They enjoyed sixty-four years of marriage together, until her passing on September 25, 2014.

Mr. Potter was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Dana Lynn Johnson; one son-in-law, Glen Alton Johnson; five brothers, Conley Potter, Estill Potter, Rueben Potter, Charles Potter and Jack Potter; by one sister, Betty Lois Potter.

Mr. Potter is survived by three daughters, Sharon Kaye Johnson of Virgie, Kentucky, Linda Ann (Teddy) Euman of Canal Winchester,Ohio and Eunice Gaynell (Mark) Pape of Bowling Green, Kentucky; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation for Mr. Potter will be held on Thursday-December 8, 2016 at the Carty Funeral Chapel, of Neon, KY. from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for the public. Funeral service for Mr. Potter will be conducted also from the Carty Funeral Chapel at 12:00 Noon on Friday-December 9, 2016 with Mark Pape officiating. Burial will follow in the Rueben Potter Cemetery at Jackhorn, Kentucky.
