OBITUARY OF SARAH ANN BELCHER
Funeral services for Sarah Ann Belcher were held at Blackman
Mission Chapel, La Puenta, California on Friday, November 29, 1991 at 11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers include a son-in-law (Fear1 Fleming), grandsons and neighbors.
Burial was in The Queen of Heaven Cemetery at Hacienda Heights, California.
Sarah Ann Belcher, 75 of Reseda, California was born in Pike County, Kentucky
on April 4, 1916 and was a resident of Jackhorn until 1973. She passed from this
life at Granada Hills Community Hospital in Reseda, California on November 25,
1991 after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Kay and Dolly (Fleming) Bentley
Jackhorn, KY; sons Ricky of Modesto, California and Samuel of Indianapolis,
Indiana; daughters: Bettye of Modesto, California; grandchild Pamela of
Louisville, Kentucky; sister Louise of Pikeville, Kentucky; and brother, Creed
of Deane, Kentucky.
Sarah is survived by daughters: Shirley of Reseda, California; Cassie Sue of
Amherst, Ohio; Allene Anthony of Los Angeles, California; Grace Harris of
Hacienda Heights; California; thirteen grandchildren; sisters: Nancy Bentley of
Jackhorn, KY; Dicey, Frona and Ellen of Pikeville, KY; brothers: George of
Norton, VA; Daniel of Frankfort, KY and numerous relatives and friends in
Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia and California.
OBITUARY OF TRACY RICKY BELCHER
Tracy Ricky Belcher, son of Sarah Bentley and
Johnny Belcher, was born at Fleming, Kentucky, October 16, 1956, passed from
this life suddenly at Seco, Kentucky, October 7, 1974, while installing a
citizens bank radio antena, being only 17 years, 11 months and 21 days of age at
his passing.
Ricky was a student at the Modesto California Junior College,
and was just visiting here. He attended Fleming-Neon High School and has made
his home in Modesto, California, for the past one and a half years.
He is survived by his mother Sarah Belcher of Modesto
California, and one brother, Samuel Lee Belcher of Westfield, Indiana, 5
sisters, Betty Jo Harris of Modesto, California, Shirley Sartillion of Reseda,
California, Sue Fleming of Amherst, Ohio, Allene Anthony of Las Angeles,
California, Grace Belcher of Las Angeles, California and a large number of
relatives and friends, his father Johnny Belcher preceded him in death February
12, 1965.
Funeral Services For Tracy Ricky Belcher were held at the
Hemphill Church of Christ, at Jackhorn, Kentucky on Thursday, October 10, 1974
at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Friends; Minister: Bro. Hargis Hall. Burial in the
Hemphill, Cemetery, Hemphill, KY. Banks Funeral Home of Neon, Kentucky in charge
of arrangements.
