August 2, 2011 - Obituary: Stanley Hughes, 71, of Deane passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Vicco, Kentucky. Stanley was the son of the late Creed and Hattie Branham Hughes. Surviving are his wife: Martha Hall Hughes; 2 sons: Danny Clayton Hughes and Keith Allen Hughes both of Deane; 1 daughter: Darlene Hughes Mobley of Deane; 3 brothers: Chester, Leonard, and Rudell; 4 sisters: Floretta, Gearldine, Wilma Lee, Lilly; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Joe Brown and Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Deane, Kentucky.

OBITUARY OF ELIZABETH "DOLLY" (FLEMING) BENTLEY
Elizabeth Bentley, daughter of Mary Johnson and John Jefferson Fleming, was born in Pike County, Ky., October 31, 1883, passed from. this life at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, December 20, 1973, being 90 years, 1 month, and 19 days of age at her passing.

Dolly, as she was known to most of us, has been in poor health for about seven years. She has been bedfast for the past four and a half years. She was married to Kaye Bentley, who preceded her in death, July 17, 1968.

She is survived by the following children: Louisa Bentley of Pike Co.; Creed Hughes of Deane; Frona Beverly of Pikeville, Ky.; Nancy Tackett of Seco; Sarah Belcher of Modesto, Calif.; George Bentley of Frankfort, Ky.; Dicey Hall of Neon; Ellen Hampton of Pikeville; Daniel Bentley of Frankfort; 63 grandchildren; 113 great grandchildren;. brothers, John Fleming, Willie Fleming, and George Fleming, all of Pike County and a large number of relatives and friends. She has made her home with daughter, Dicey Hall, of Neon for the past four and a half years.
