Obituary - "Concord - Franklin Partee Bentley, 67, of Old Charlotte Highway, died Monday, Nov 28, 1960, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. Mr. Bentley was the son of the late Tom Bentley and Mrs. Sarah Della Childers Bentley. He was born in Alexander county May 29, 1893, was retired from Cannon Mills and was a World War I Veteran. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov 30, 1960, at 2 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Miller officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The body will be taken to the home late today. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Tarlton Bentley; three sons, Frank Jr., and Darrell Wayne of Concord, and Leroy of Bunn; four daughters, Mrs. R.P. Hill, Mrs. J.W. Starnes, Mrs. W.R. Culp, Miss Dennie Bentley all of Concord; two sisters, Mrs. J.F. Eagle, Cabarrus County, Mrs. Fannie Driggers of Columbia, S.C.; also six grandchildren."
