Juanita married Tom Fleming at Etty, Kentucky, on December 29, 1937. Tom preceded her in death on October 29, 1996. Also preceding her was grandson Todd Jackson. Juanita has been a member of the Church of Christ for over 35 years and attended the Haymond Church of Christ. She was well known for her quilting abilities and her gardening skills which she shared with her husband, Tom.

She is survived by daughters: Pauline Martin of Louisville, KY; Ruby Nell Bentley, Lois Ann Anderson, Helen Jackson, Sheila Burnett all of Pekin, IN; Starla Hampton and Teresa Fox both of Jackhorn, KY; step-daughter Carol Wainscott of Pekin, IN. Sons: Jessie Fleming of Pekin, IN; Frank Fleming and David Anthony Fleming both of Jackhorn, KY; stepsons: Leonard Fleming of Kona, KY; Leroy Fleming of Pekin, IN; and Paul Fleming of Jackhorn, KY. Brothers: Bennett Stone of New Mexico; Don Stone of North Carolina; D.B. Stone of Ohio; Joel and Bernie Stone both of Campton, KY.

Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 6 step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Juanita Hollan Fleming will be conducted at the Banks Funeral Home, Inc. Fleming-Neon, KY on Tuesday, February 16, 1999 at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers: Grandsons. Officiating Minister: Alfred Fields. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery, Ermine, KY. Arrangements handled by Banks Funeral Home, Inc. Fleming-Neon, KY.

OBITUARY OF BESSIE ELLEN (STEWART) FLEMING

Bessie Fleming, daughter of the late Mary Mullins Stewart and Bob Stewart was born at Etty, Kentucky on October 8, 1903. She passed from this life at the Wise Hospital on June 11, 1987, making her stay here on earth 83 years, 8 months, and 3 days.

Bessie was married to John J. Fleming at McRoberts on April 24, 1919. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1965. Also preceding her were sons Bill, Sol and Patty.

She has been a member of the Church of Christ for over 40 years.

Bessie is survived by daughters: Glassie Hall of Pekin, Indiana; Mable Johnson of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Della Roberts of Ft. Pierce, Florida; sons: Tom and Clinton Fleming, both of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Eugene and Willard Fleming, both of McRoberts, Kentucky; Ezra Fleming of Pekin, Indiana; Lenville Fleming of Pikeville, Kentucky; sisters:_ Minnie Holbrook of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Nannie Fleming of Thornton, Kentucky; Myrtle Fleming of Louisville, Kentucky; brothers: Daniel Stewart of Etty, Kentucky; Jack Stewart of Grundy, Virginia; Henry Stewart of Jackson, Ohio.

Also surviving are 74 grandchildren; 186 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-greatgrandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

OBITUARY OF TURNER "TOM" FLEMING
Tom Turner Fleming, son of the late John Jefferson and Bessie Ellen Stewart Fleming, was born at Etty, Kentucky, on March 1, 1920. He passed from this life at the Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday, October 29, 1996, making his stay here on earth 76 years; 7 months and 28 days.

Tom married Juanita Hollon at Etty, Kentucky, on December 29, 1937. Tom is preceded in death by grandson Todd Jackson and brothers Pallas Fleming, Bill Fleming and Sol Fleming. Tom has been a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America for over 60 years. He had worked in the mines for over 42 years and was a member of Local 1468. Tom has attended and been a member of the Church of Christ for over 33 years. He loved the outdoor! He loved to coon hunt and to listen to the hounds. He also loved to farm, raising many crops that he would share with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Juanita of Jackhorn, Kentucky; daughters: Pauline Martin of Charlotte, N.C.; Ruby Bentley, Lois Anderson, Helen Jackson, Shelia Burnett and Carol Wainscott all of Pekin, lndiana; Starla Hampton and Theresa Fox, both of Jackhorn, Kentucky; sons: Jesse Fleming and Leroy Fleming, both of Pekin, Ind.; Frank Fleming, David Fleming and Paul Fleming all of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Leonard Fleming of Kona, Kentucky; brothers: Ezra Fleming of Pekin, Ind.; Lenville Fleming of Pikeville, Kentucky; Clinton Fleming of Jackhorn, Kentucky; Jean Fleming and Wid Fleming both of McRoberts, Kentucky; sisters: Glassie Hall of Pekin, Ind.; Mabel Johnson of Jackhorn, Ky. and Della Byrd of Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Also surviving are 33 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Tom Turner Fleming will be conducted from the Haymond Church of Christ, Cromona, KY on Saturday, November 2, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. Ministers: Alfred Fields; Gaddy Wayne Hall and Delmer Isaac. Pallbearers: sons and grandsons. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery, Ermine, KY. United Mine Worker’s Rites at graveside by Willie Lamb. Banks Funeral Home of Fleming-Neon, KY in charge of the arrangements.
