OBITUARY OF JOHN JEFFERSON FLEMING
JOHN J. FLEMING, son of Sol and Esther Branham Fleming was born in Pike County, August 4, 1900, passed from this life after a long illness at the
Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, December 7, 1965, being 65 years, 4 months and 3 days of age.
He was married to Bessie Stewart in 1919 and to this union were born 12 children, one son Palace Fleming preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife and daughters; Glassie Hall, Mable Johnson and Della Hall of Jackhorn, Ky. Sons; Tom, Bill, Clinton, Sol and Willard of
Jackhorn, Ky. Ezra of Pekin, Ind. Lenville of Pikeville, Ky, and Gene of McRoberts, Ky. One brother. Elijah Fleming McRoberts Ky. Two sisters:
Flossie Wyatt, of Dunham, Ky and Clara Bentley, Hindman, Ky. 68 grand children, 26 great grand-children and a host of relatives and friends. He was a retired miner, retiring from the Elkhorn Coal Co. of Jackhorn,
Ky.
Funeral Services For John J. Fleming were held at the Hemphill Church of Christ on December 10, 1965 at 11:30 A. M.
Ministers: Bro. Willie Green, and Bennie Blankenship. Pallbearers - Grandsons. Burial In Hemphill Cemetery, Jackhorn, Letcher Co., KY. Banks and Craft Funeral Home of Neon, KY in Charge of Arrangements.
