Leona Carlene Potter b abt 1951 KY; d/o Creed Flannery Potter and Ida Fuller Potter. Leona Carlene was named after our Grandmother, Leona Smith Fuller. Children of Jake Walton Burkland and Leona Carlene Potter;
1. Son Burkland; m. Tracey Unknown. Child of Son Burkland and Tracey Unknown; i. Makaela Burkland.
2. Stephen Burkland b 24 Feb 1980 d 12 24 2017 of a heart attack age 37 years. We are so heart broken over the loss of this precious loved one. There are no words. He was beloved to everyone who knew him. Stephen married Charity. Children of Stephen and Charity; i. Jack ii. Nate iii. Sawyer Van Burkland. Jack and Nate are Charity's children from a previous marriage. Sawyer Van Burkland is the biological son of Stephen and Charity.
(The following was written several years ago in 2005): Stephen Burkland joined the US Marine Corps and served his country in the war on terror. Stephen is now at home and safe for which we are grateful. We are also grateful for our military giving up their comfort and safety to go to Iraq and fight the terrorists so that we don't have to face them here at home. God Bless our soldiers and keep them safe and grant them victory over the enemy. Stephen met and married (divorced) Kristen Keith in San Diego, California. Kristen is the daughter of Bill and Jo Keith. Stephen and Kristen have one son, Dillon Burkland who was born this year (2005). Child of Stephen and Kristen Burkland; i. Dillon Burkland b 2005.
3. David Aaron Burkland; m. Bobby Unknown. (Written in 2005) is Carlene and Dub's youngest. David attends the University of Houston. He is a very good student and dedicated to his studies.
