MOPED CRASH KILLS COUNTY RESIDENT
LINCOLNVILLE - A Lincolnville man was fatally injured in a moped accident
Monday evening.
The man, Terry Harlan, 39, was flown by helicopter from the accident scene to
Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He died there at 1:40 a.m. A report on the
nature of his injuries was not available this morning.
The single-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 7:45 p.m. on County Road
500S east of County Road 600E, not far from his home.
Harlan was found lying on the ground by the side of the road. Apparently no
one saw the accident, but officers suspect he lost control of his moped when
an animal ran across his path.
Harlan was the county's fourth traffic fatality this year.
Assisting at the scene were the Lincolnville and Wabash fire departments and
the Wabash County Emergency Management Agency.
